I have been working in the paint industry since 2004 where I have developed experience in various production and training roles. My experience helps me deliver the technical detail required to work to my best abilities in the Kortec technical team including onsite support for clients, demonstrations, testing new products etc.

I have worked for Kortec for 10 years and gained vast experience in almost all operational roles including colour matching, quality control for our largest customers and logistics scheduling. I started as Warehouse Lead and have transitioned into Operations Supervisor and more recently Head of Operations. I am now responsible for managing all aspects of operations including production, quality control, logistics and day to day operations.

My background actually lies in mental health! I worked for the NHS for 6 years, starting in forensic services before moving into the community. At Kortec my role involves understanding our clients needs and getting to know how we can enhance their overall product experience.

I finished school 2 years ago and in my second year of college - started working at Kortec in October 2022 and my role is mainly colour tinting.

I started a apprenticship in July 2022 and my main job role is to colour match paint and stains to high standards from either samples or colour swatch. I also help with paint manufacturing and QC.

My job as a QC apprentice is to spray out the paint that is manufactured and then see how it needs to be adjusted to meet a more precise specification.
What I enjoy about my work is that I must get a good level of precision with colour formulas and spraying which gives a high level of challenge.

I am responsible for Goods In - checking and booking products in and for warehouse cleanliness standards. All courier items normally go through me.

My background is training new team members making sure they follow health and safety procedures and that the product goes out to customers at a high standard. I’ve just started my role as a QC apprenticeship, which involves spraying out the paint and making the required adjustments. Also, I’m learning how to colour match paint from samples or colour swatches.
